Please check out these frequently asked questions. Click on the "In-depth into each Service" tab to learn more in-depth details of each service provided at Kinetic Physical Therapy and which service might be the best fit for you.
No! Maine is a direct access state and allows people to directly see a physical therapist without a referral. If at any point while under our care, we feel that it is warranted for you to see a physician, then we will gladly make a recommendation and help you schedule that appointment if need arises.
Kinetic Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider, and does not accept healthcare insurances. If your health insurance plan allows for out-of-network reimbursement then we can provide you with a superbill which can be submitted to your healthcare company to be reimbursed for any services you receive at Kinetic Physical Therapy.
If you are not sure, call the number on your health insurance card and ask, "what are my out-of-network physical therapy benefits."
1. Specialized 1-on-1 care: Kinetic Physical Therapy provides 60 minute one-on-one sessions with your physical therapist to help you achieve the best you can be!
2. High deductible plan: If you have a high deductible plan that has a high copay for physical therapy services, then an out-of-network provider like Kinetic Physical Therapy can be a cost effective way to access high quality care.
3. Privacy: Since Kinetic Physical Therapy operates out-of-network, we will only notify other health care professionals and health insurance companies if it is requested by the patient themselves.
4. Strong out-of-network benefits: If you have good out-of-network benefits then it might be a cost saving measure to utilize Kinetic Physical Therapy.
5. Gym Partnership: Kinetic Physical Therapy is partnered with Unbreakable Health and Fitness and has full access to an elite gym space that allows your physical therapist to further advance you beyond the normal progress made in a traditional physical therapy setting. By advancing beyond the baseline before you were injured, there is a less likelihood of that injury occurring again.
Contact your health insurance company and ask them, "what are my out-of-network physical therapy benefits?" Each insurance company is going to handle their benefits different. Once it is confirmed that you have out-of-network physical therapy benefits, we can give you a superbill that can be submitted to your health insurance company for reimbursement of services that we provide.
A superbill is a fancy word for a standard invoice that also includes special codes used by physical therapists to notate what treatments/exercises were completed during the time of your appointment. The superbill can then be submitted to your health insurance company for reimbursement of services received at Kinetic Physical Therapy.
